Weekly Competition Round Up – W/C 17/10/16

It has been another Brilliant week within the Team Activ competition world. With some Fantastic skills and some great team work been shown through all events, we wanted to give you a brief overview of the amazing work , fun and effort been shared by all involved with us. See Weekly Competition Round up below@

It has been one of the best football seasons for attitude we have seen so far throughout our competitions. We had some brilliant Year 5/6 Girls and Boys football that have taken place at Horizon CC, Barnsley College and Penistone Grammar this week.  All football squads took part in several matches that tested their football skills to the limits. They all battled it out for a  place within the Year 5/6 Boys and Girls finals, which will be on the 7th and the 8th November. The standard and sportsman ship throughout has been amazing with some great saves, goals and tackles being shown.

Cross Country is one of our biggest events within the Team Activ calendar with nearly every school who are members of us taking part. This week was Cannon Hall one of our biggest cross country qualifiers and we had 12 schools bringing with them over 120 pupils each from Year 3 to 6 to take part in the sunshine. It was great to see support from parents and teachers alike, really gavethe event a special atmosphere. Even the secondary event brought parents, grandparents and teachers out for the eveining.

We love to get involved in the community and with the relationships we have with local clubs we were lucky enough to get Penistone Footpath Runners helping us marshal and guide children around our courses. With out these people the event could not be possible so a huge thank you from all of us at Team Activ.

A huge thank you to Horizon CC who have provided us with some well mannered and polite Referees. They helped the teams on the pitches and refereed to a high and professional standard. Thank you to the school and the pupils for all your support once again could not be possible without you.
